What do you want a meaning for? Life is a desire, not a meaning. Charlie Chaplin
At the beginning of the 20th Century, under the shock of the First World War artist hoped for the abolition of art and life, to the revolutionizing of all relations with the help of art, to any entity other than the capitalist. These utopian visions have been forgotten. LIGNA takes in her first stage play four positions pronounced: three drafts of a new people, new collectives, a better life - And a fourth shot across. The poet Bertolt Brecht's didactic plays designs in the theater of a classless state by the gestures of the people, and thus the social situation as a whole will be changed. The dancers are Rudolf Laban movement choirs rehearse in collective gestures, the vibration power reshuffle. The director Vsevolod Meyerhold experimented in the young Soviet Union with biomechanical exercises, in which renewed the man's body. And the comedian Charlie Chaplin stumbles over all these utopian hopes.
The new man out of these movements in a theater without actors: the audience hears on the radio performative radio play, it's not just consecutively become familiar with the four positions, but they also suggested exercises, movements and gestures. But not all at once. With headphones the audience in the four positions will be divided. Every fifteen minutes changing the program. Each group will play each position once, four times the same piece with different roles will be performed. This theater without a stage initiated movements and collective action makes unexpected abilities visible. The new man is updated so that the hidden utopian hopes, and raises the question of the function of theater today.
