KfW: New funding standards for energy efficiency in renovation and new construction of residential buildings
start to 01 July 2010
- Now also grants for the construction eradication
From 01 July 2010, KfW will offer support in their one for "Energy Efficient Building and Renovation" the new exacting standards KfW Efficiency House 70 and 55 in the rehabilitation and KfW Efficiency House 55 and 40 in the new building. "This KfW supports the development towards higher levels of energy efficiency in housing and sets appropriate standards," says Dr. Axel Nawrath, board member of KfW banking group.
KfW has delayed the concessional funds from the federal funding because of the difficult economic situation only gradually and significantly adapted to the energy saving regulations 2009th Thus, the company last year, an even greater investment, with very positive effects brought about in particular for the building trade. For
1. July will now - as already announced in late 2009 - which now lie close to the statutory minimum level of input feed stage 130 in the rehabilitation and leaving 85 in the new building. In the future, are interested parties who want to renovate their house, alongside the existing KfW-efficiency houses 115, 100 and 85 two other new standards are available: KfW-efficient houses 70 and 55 For the new owners can find the KfW Efficiency House 70 then decide for the KfW-efficient houses 55 and 40.
Another first: As with the energy-related grants, KfW future addition of new development in promoting the eradication grants to support credit. These amount to up to 10% of the loan. The amount awarded depends on the achieved energy efficiency of the building.
Where: The better the energy efficiency, the more attractive the promotion. At the same time the interest rates within the individual programs are standardized. So that assistance in total for the borrower even easier and more transparent. As the focus of the efficiency standard of the building is also gaining in importance the quality of construction.
therefore defines the future from the KfW KfW-efficiency house 55 additional requirements for project supervision by experts. Building owners to ensure that safety is maintained, that the desired Efficiency building standard in practice is also achieved.
Last year, KfW support for "Energy Efficient Building and Renovation" thoroughly revised and has promised a record volume of 8.9 billion EUR. This was the energy efficiency or energy-efficient construction of some 620,000 housing units financed and reduced CO2 emissions in the residential sector sustained a 1.5 million tonne per year.
With the support initiated by the investment of 18 billion EUR 292 000 jobs for at least a year were saved. In the first quarter of 2010, the volume of commitments already amounted to EUR 2.5 billion. In three months, up almost 370 000 residential units supported, more than half of the total housing units in 2009. This underlines the very widespread impact of scholarship programs.
Explanation: The term efficiency house is a quality mark, which was developed by the KfW, the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs (Germany) and the Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena).
The number after the word "KfW-house efficiency" indicates how high the annual primary energy demand (Qp) as a percentage (%) to a comparable new building to the requirements of the Energy Conservation Act (EnEV) may be. For example, the KfW Efficiency House 85 has more than 85% of annual primary energy demand of the Reference building. The smaller the number, the lower and better energy levels.
